Former Guantanamo Bay detainee Moazzam Begg and a 44-year-old woman have been charged with terror offences related to Syria, West Midlands Police have said.
Police said Mr Begg, 45, of Hall Green, Birmingham, is accused of providing terrorist training and funding terrorism overseas.

The woman, Gerrie Tahari, of Sparkbrook, Birmingham, is charged with facilitating terrorism overseas.
They will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday to face the charges.

I have a feeling that the only one that this would be a surprise to is our President here in the US. I am glad that your government was paying attention to him once he got there. One of the things that I don’t understand though is why your government ever let him get off the the plane and step foot on you great nations ground. I personally believe that he should have at once been shipped to his country of origin with a shoot to kill order put on his head if he ever stepped foot in the UK again.
