I wish you all a wonderful weekend. I have loose strings to finish up and I suppose so do you. Well, I will be around. Just enjoy everyone. Spread the joy.

Joy to the world,
the sun returns.
Let all who live rejoice!
Let every heart receive the healing light.
And every voice be heard!
And every voice be heard!
And every voice in song be heard!
You are a very good poet and I have read your work before. Your words remind me of the Sufi poet Rumi. This is a huge compliment. Hugs, Barbara
A drunken laugh is not a laugh
A drunken dance is not a dance
They are but half hearted happenings
That know nothing of romance
A drunken smile is not a smile
A drunken glance is not a glance
They are but half hearted hankerings
From the soul in a weakened stance
A drunken love is not a love
A drunken chance is not a chance
They are but half heart handlings
Of time given, and its advance
This is pathetic and certainly not Christian. I am sorry the father was defrocked. In peace and harmony, Barbara

Chatting briefly with an artist/writer/blogger I just discovered tonight, the topic of super heroes came up. Mine was none other than Superman. Missing four year old
” Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.
—-Khalil Gibran, From The Prophet
” Age does not protect you from love but love to some extent protects you from age. —Jeanne Moreau
