I’m very much aware that much has been written, reported, discussed, argued about Robin Williams’ recent death. The airwaves, the blogosphere and the news have taken to reporting the death of this great talent.

Many are already tired of this topic, others have spoken in ways that show callousness and insensitivity about his passing. It was the shock that is not dissimilar to losing a family member. I could not believe when he died. Then to find it was suicide was heart wrenching. He was one of the world’s greatest talents. I first encountered him in Mork And Mindy. He was the perfect ad-libber which is what he did for the most part in Aladdin as the Genie.

    • Yes, he was extremely talented. I always watched Mork and Mindy. The mask can cover a world of pain. He was a good man and the Parkinson’s must have been so devastating. His humor was so physical. He carried a heavy load. I hope he is catching up with the old comics. Perhaps the angels are laughing until they hurt. Hugs, Barbara

I loved Mork And Mindy as well. The bit at the end as to how aliens saw humans was sometimes very deep and sobering. I know he adlibbed a great deal in his programs and films, including Aladdin which showed his talent.

      • Yes. His death is a great loss. My heart hurts for his wife and children. Their loss is huge. Hugs, Barbara
