I know what’s being said

from the readings that I’ve read

that the life we live is tough

and the living of it rough

 

But here’s the thing I’ve learned

that the life you have you earned

and joy you get from living it

is the work that you’ve put into it

 

So raise a glass of cheer

for the moment you are here

cuz you know it won’t be long

before this moment here its gone
