Barbara, I just don’t get why anyone would carry a gun to a theatre (or anywhere, really). Handguns are only good for killilng people. I was so shocked to read this that words fail me. I would be afraid to even visit there. I would have thought a former police chief would have had better people skills for resolving a dispute.
I don’t like people texting in a theatre, either, but it’s an easy thing to solve; if the man had gone to the lobby to text, it would have been more considerate; that said, I do not condone shooting him, even if he threw popcorn.
I’m glad you are here, working towards peace. ~ Linne
Thank you Linne. I am in Ohio where there are concealed weapons laws. Anyone, anywhere can legally carry a concealed weapon. So the guy hugging your bumper could have one, the impatient guy at the grocery one. The man or woman in the pew behind you can have one. There are signs up at hospitals that ban guns, but no one checks. Who needs a gun out to dinner. This whole gun question is craziness because it is insanity. England. Has laws preventing owning a gun. Their crime rate is much lower than ours. Many less murders. We all just need to do kind acts each day. Those random acts of kindness go a long way toward bringing peace. Hugs, Barbara
