I know what’s being said

from the readings that I’ve read

that the life we live is tough

and the living of it rough

But here’s the thing I’ve learned

that the life you have you earned

and joy you get from living it

is the work that you’ve put into it

So raise a glass of cheer

for the moment you are here

cuz you know it won’t be long

before this moment here its gone

Several international victims of human trafficking were also recovered during the operation, investigators said.

“High-profile special events that draw large crowds have become lucrative opportunities for child prostitution criminal enterprises,” said Ron Hosko, assistant director of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division. “The FBI and our partners remain committed to stopping this cycle of victimization and putting those who try to profit from this…

The Dan River turned grayer and grayer downriver as the ash traveled, and by Tuesday the familiar brown of the river running through Danville had changed to a depressing gray; even some of the vegetation along its banks was covered in gray ash.
