I neglected to post this a couple of weeks back. Again, Obama benefited from a very diversified and well-informed voting coalition that happened to include a wide block of white voters as well. Republican sore losers have continued to try to divide the country, implying Obama’s message of government-private sector collaborative balance only appealed to so-called “urban” voters. However, this contention is debunked by Paul Ryan’s own hometown. As the attached article explains, Janesville, Wisconsin voted overwhelmingly against their hometown boy, Mr. Ryan, and his message of extreme corporate capitalism.
In the closing days of his vice-presidential run, Paul D. Ryan sought to connect with voters in small- and medium-sized towns across Ohio by repeatedly telling them how much their community had in common with his own hometown of Janesville, Wis.
