I believe I mentioned the All Ladies Big Band that played on the Fourth of July at Chautauqua. It was the annual Ball, and everyone was up to dance.
My sister and I were particularly taken by one man, an older sailor in traditional whites, who (in true sailor form) was dancing with every woman who would have him. For one song, he found a young woman who obviously had never met him before, but loved to dance as much as he did. By the end of the song (and in the middle of the song, truth to tell), the audience was applauding them as much as the wonderful Band.
My sister was lucky enough to get them on video, and I thought I’d share this lovely pair with you.
Enjoy the fun and pay attention — you just might learn a thing or two from the older generation!
