You’ve Got Me Walking in the Rain

Wild Nights

Wild Nights–Wild Nights!

Were I with thee

Wild Nights should be

Our luxury!

Futile—the winds—-

To a Heart in port—-

Done with the Compass—Done with the Chart!

Rowing in Eden—-

Ah, the Sea!

Might I but moor—-Tonight—-

In Thee!

Peace is Important to Saving Mother Earth

A Peaceful Picnic Among the Water Lotus

Hello, everyone. Have you ever noticed how you can look at something over and over and not really see it? I have and I have realized something. What I have realized is that we need peace and we need to heal our planet. We must do them together if we are going to have any success. The concepts need to be interwoven for strength and workability.

If we work hard and accomplish healing the planet, and we end up in another World War, it won’t do much good. If we learn to live peacefully with each other. To love others as we love ourselves. If we manage not to fear the differences in cultures, skin color, or beliefs and we haven’t healed the planet, well, we will not survive either. So we must all work together to make this entire plan work. The full commitment of every person, government and religion is necessary.

We can’t do it without work, love, acceptance and honoring all that is sacred. What is sacred? Everything is sacred because Divinity is found within everything which breathes and lives. This includes our planet. So we need to find a way to weave the threads of the lives of all sentient beings together to form a strong yet beautiful tapestry that will reflect the love and holiness that is here among us..

The Beuaty of Nature in our World is something that we must preserve

Peace

Peace flows into me

As the tide to the pool by the shore;

It is mine forevermore,

It will not ebb like the sea.

I am the pool of blue

That worships the vivid sky;

My hopes were heaven-high,

They are all fulfilled in you.

I am the pool of gold

When sunset burns and dies-

You are my deepening skies;

Give me your stars to hold.”

Healing Mother Earth

bluebuddhahealing theplanet

Yesterday, I spent at a Manet exhibit. It was a very good one and it got me thinking about our precious planet. I was thinking about what is taking place in 2012. The Northern Ice Cap is melting. The North Pole is now an island. The levels of our oceans and seas are rising. I believe this is a combination of the cycles of our planet and the poor care we are taking of our planet.

As the water levels rise, we will see a worsening of storms and their damage. Lower Manhattan is in a dangerous position and the damage from Sandy will look small in the future. The Carribean Islands will face flooding danger and Hawaii. In Europe, there will be certain flooding and danger in Venice and other land that is lower and therefore will easily flood. The icepack in Antartica is melting much faster than scientists have expected. This does not bode well for any of us.

We are adding many chemicals to the atmosphere. I have Asthma and live in Northern America, I watch the air quality reports and in the past there was only concern in the summertime. Now, in the winter, there are alerts for sensitive people.

At the present time, we are experiencing many more severe storms. It is pure denial to ignore the scientific research that scientists are doing. I know that not all scientists agree but they all feel we are adding toxic emissions into the atmosphere. The problem that I see, is if we don’t take the advise of the scientists, if they are correct about the amount of damage we might suffer, we could end up with a dead planet. Which means that all the animals and people will die. As sad and awful as this prospect is, we could hardly complain because we have been warned,

Yes, some of the changes scientists are suggesting can be expensive. Truthfully, do you want to have to explain to those alive then why the planet is dying and so are they. It seems an easy choice for me. Death or listening to the people actually doing the research.

Now, the politicians have many opinions but I don’t trust them to make the right decisions for the people. Would you when they can’t even work together to write a budget? I really don’t want to end my life carrying the guilt that I could have done more and yet I did not.

Our planet is filled with so much beauty and has been a wonderful planet for us to live on. We don’t want to damage that. So we need to work together with the scientists to find out what can be done within each and every portion of the world to begin the work of saving Mother Earth. There will be catastrophe if we do not take heed and work to heal our planet.

Trayvon Martin's Prom PictureWe’re all caught up in the horror of Trayvon Martin getting murdered while carrying AZ Ice Tea and a bag of Skittles, and demanded justice for him. Well that justice has not seen resolution yet.

George Zimmerman is still playing games while waiting trial for the murder. He’s selling his autograph to raise money! How long will this madness go on?

Meanwhile, in the Stand your Ground state of FLORIDA, Jordan Davis was shot and killed by an older white  registered gun owner for listening to loud music. Michael Dunn fired 8 rounds into the vehicle Jordan Davis was riding in because he felt threatened. Two of those bullets struck Jordan Davis killing him and Michael Dunn fled the scene. Jordan Davis was unarmed. There was no weapon. Don’t think that the battle of white men killing our boys in the name of SYG is over. Far from it. This is why this law needs…

I am going out of town to see a Manet exhibit so I thought I would let these images speak for me today. I hope you enjoy them and I hope that they speak to you because if we can’t create peace, we won’t have anything else to create. Blessings to all. Rebel

If you have to remember one thing ? Please, remember this. Respect. Yes, I know respect maybe a simple word. But, most people go about their day without respecting themselves or others. Some of us may not notice our misfortunes sometimes. But, please try to remember to respect.

The Prognosis for Mother Earth

Our planet as it really is

“More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” —-Alfred Lord Tennyson

Invoking the powers of the Universe or bestowing our blessing on the Earth or other beings is neither a simple benevolent wish nor an act of hubris.. It is an act of creative consciousness. .As we shake off all other desires, we can proceed on our relationship with the whole Universe.

Peace be to earth and to airy space!
Peace be to heaven, peace to the waters,
Peace to the plant and peace to the trees!
May all the powers grant me peace!
By this invocation of peace may peace be diffused!
By this invocation of peace may peace bring peace!
With this peace the dreadful I now appease,
With this peace the cruel I now appease,
With this peace all evil I now appease,
So that peace may prevail, happiness prevail
May everything for us to be peaceful.”
——–Atharva Veda XIX

Prayers and blessings bring us into alignment with the rest of creation. They directly express our intentions and and utter wishes we hope to be achieved. We offer an invocation or blessings and we become mindful co-creators in this unfolding Universe.

“This is what I want to happen,
That our Earth Mother may not be closed in ground corn four times over…
In order that the country may be this way
I have made my prayer sticks into something alive.”
——–Zuni prayer

There is some magic to some prayers. Not the superstitious sort we usually think of, but rather in the ecological sense of the creative flux of all things. Through our blessings and superstitions we acknowledge this network of forces that flows through the world. This awakens the deeper levels, of our consciousness to affect these patterns of change.

It is an act of creative confidence, these invocations and prayers. It empties us of the needs of our personality, our ego, or the demands of our society, we free ourselves to come into a dynamic relationship with the whole Universe.
