Acid Attacks on Women

For women living in many countries in our world, they are being punished for not going on a date, refusing to marry someone they don’t love. The men feel as if their “family” honor is at stake and that this gives them the right to throw acid or a corrosive at a woman. They usually aim for her face so no one will want her.

Middle Eastern countries, India, and now South America are where more of these attacks happen. The men have no respect for women and since women are property, there is often no punishment. These men are destroying the lives of women. If a woman’s family is not rich, she will not receive plastic surgery. So they retreat into their family homes and they don’t go out at all.

We have to help these women with surgeries and by punishing the perps. It will need to cost these men a great deal before they will stop. They must learn to respect women and treat them as equals.

Right when you think you’ve seen it all, here’s another example stupidity… This too will pass.

Oh, Barbara, how my Heart twisted with pain when I saw this post. The audacity of some actions never cease to shock me. When WHEN will Love be honored again? I will not stop what I do until my last breath, whether or not I am heard or not. These women I carry in my Heart with Love and prayers! Love, Amy

    • We shine lights on the horrors and explain the unfairness and cruelty. We give love and support to women suffering. We will change the world. Hugs, Barbara

Oh, Barbara, I really HOPE so. When I look overall at the horrors in this world, the job of changing this world seems almost impossible. We who are doing our best to change this world, will somehow succeed!!! Keep strong! Love, Amy

      • I really do believe that thoughts have energy. So we must keep them positive. Horrors may happen but we need to shine lights on them so the world knows crimes against humanity. Hugs, Barbara

I KNOW thoughts have energy, Barbara. This is why I choose again and again, to focus on good, to focus on Love, to focus on Truth, to focus on beauty and then to SHINE all that out to the world without ceasing. I will to my last breath. No it has not been easy to do, for yes, I am so sensitive to the horrors that are so prevalent in this world. I am not blind to those horrors. I send LOVE to those horrors by both my work and my personal walk. (((HUGS))) Amy

      • You have reflected my thoughts perfectly. Hugs, Barbara

  3. Dearest Barbara, Its heart rendering what some men do to both women and children.. Last year there was a documentary upon such a subject.. A man in India threw acid over his wife while she slept with her children.. Her young 2 yr old daughter was also scarred badly and she was scarred and blinded…
Its Horrendous.. and sometimes I just cannot fathom the world and its evil streaks.. We call our selves Human.. when so many are so far from being Humane.

Much love to you .. x ❤ Sue

    Such Sadness , re-blog Barbara

  6. i’ve seen a few of these faces up close in real life and the victim’s eyes
if her eyes are still there tell the horror..i went into shock the first time
    i saw a scarred face

Thank You, Barbara, for sharing this

    Big Hugs

    • Horrible isn’t it? I will not accept that Christians can be beheaded in a row on a riverbank in Lybia or that men can choose to disfigure a woman who says no. This is why women must be equal. Thanks for conversation. Hugs, Barbara

Unfathomable but sadly true – this is awful, awful, awful – I could be very creative in passing a sentence or punishment for such men, um – beasts.

  8. We here in the United States often forget how life is for too many in the rest of the world! Thank you for pointing to this horrible reality!

  9. The inhumanity of men towards women – without whom they would not exist beggars belief. I find it quite terrifying at times. One reason why I choose to be happily single. Wolfie hugs to you 🙂
