Attorney General Eric Holder, a leading liberal voice in the Obama administration and the first African-American in the powerful post, is resigning, the Justice Department announced Thursday. Holder has been a driving force behind the administration’s support for same-sex marriage and protecting voting rights. That record, along with controversies such as the so-called Fast and Furious gun trafficking scandal, have made him a focus of conservative ire. Today’s Affirmation; I, Stephanie, (insert your name here if you like) practice loving my perfectly imperfect self. I am going through a time in my life where my emotions seem to be expressing themselves in ways that on occasion make my uncomfortable. I learned that when a women goes through menopause she has more testosterone in her body than ever before so I am learning how to deal with my new emotional self. I feel scared and grateful for this new power I seem to have and am enjoying learning how to use it constructively. I patiently listen even more to my emotional heart knowing that it is leading me to right where I am supposed to be. Thank you for being in my life today.
