Zephyranthes citrina (Yellow Zephir)
Zephyranthes citrina,aka Yellow Zephir, Yellow Rain Lily, Yellow Zephir Flower, or Duende Amarillo, belongs to a genus of 71 species in the Amaryllis family Amaryllidaceae. There are numerous hybrids and cultivars. Common names for species in this genus include Fairy Lily, Rainflower, Zephir Lily, Magic Lily, Atamasco Lily, and Rain Lily. This Lily was sighted in Bayamon, P.R.. There are several colour and genus varieties of these Rain Lilies, to see other colors look here. The genus is native to the Americas. Several species have become naturalized in other places like Hawaii, Indonesia, and Thailand.

The name is derived from Ζέφυρος (Zephyrus), the Greek god of the west wind, and ἄνθος (anthos), meaning flower, referring to the slender stalks.

The Order of Duke Trpimir ranks fifth in the Croatian order of precedence after the Grand Order of King Dmitar Zvonimir. His name is “Judge” and he spends his days now roaming new pastures with another human caring for him. Unfortunately, when my Dad passed away a few years ago, my Mother was unable to keep up the farm including their 5 horses. But I am comforted by memories today…
