Without hope

Beautiful

AB's avatarPerspectives on Life, the Universe and Everything

Can we cope,
humanity’s panacea,
Soul’s pride,
heart’s ride,
Without, sweet Hope
Darkness will fall
Humanity won’t last
No one will know
how to end or to start,
Days will be long
Misery prolongs
Noons with no light
No end in sight
Falling down, no rope
Can we survive,
without hope
Depression abundantly kills
Sadness grills and grills
Sorrow refuses to leave
No faith, no believe,
Downhill life,
slippery slope
Will we ever arrive,
without hope
No furtherance in science
No trust, no reliance
Humanity without smiles
Just cries and riles
Anguish steadfastly gropes
happiness elopes,
without hope,
There is no hope

Duet poem I wrote with a great poet and a lovely friend of mine, Adrian Mitchell—> http://adrianmitchellzar.wordpress.com/

Adrian is a poet that writes from his very soul. His poetry connects with me very often and I absolutely love his style.

I could definitely learn a thing or two from him! 🙂

Don’t forget to check out his blog, you will be amazed!

In 1915, three years after launching Poetry Magazine,Harriet Monroe published “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” by the then-unknown T.S. Eliot — the poet’s first publication outside of a university press. (Cover of Vol. VI, No. III, June 1915, Poetry Magazine pictured above.)

In Brittanica, critic Allen Tate commented on Monroe’s vision and acumen as an editor by calling Eliot’s poem“…the first masterpiece of ‘modernism’ in English…Nothing like the first three lines of ‘Prufrock’ had previously appeared in English poetry…It represented a [radical] break with the immediate past…”

THE LOVE SONG OF J. ALFRED PRUFROCK (Excerpt)
by T.S. Eliot.

Let us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherized upon a table;
Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,
The muttering retreats
Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels
And sawdust restaurants with…

Biologists confirmed 13 wolf packs, five successful breeding pairs and at least 52 individual wolves based on surveys through the end of 2013.

The actual number of wolves is likely higher, said Donny Martorello, WDFW carnivore specialist.

Nine of the packs are in northeastern Washington with four along the east slopes of the North Cascades. Also, Oregon reports a new pack along the Washington border, bringing the number of Blue Mountains packs to at least two.

No wolf packs or breeding pairs have been found on the South Cascades/Northwest Coast region. Occassionally, wolf sightings are reported but biologists say these are likely wolf-dog hybreds, which look much…

There’s No Place Like Home: Police Search For Woman Who Stole ‘Wizard Of Oz’ Slippers

Ok but people are dead in a plane, others are fighting for human rights, women are abused every nine seconds, rape is on the rise and racism is worsening. Just doesn’t seem very important in comparison.
