It was a bad winter and very cold. When I went to North Carolina to visit my best friend, there were no weeds in my yard. When I returned home it was still cold. My sister usually weeds our garden, and the landscapers take care of the edging and mulching. But when I got home we were looking at her shoulder surgery and there was no time for her to weed first. The surgery was more extensive than anticipated, and the recovery is taking longer than planned, so there was still no weeding done. Today, I decided to do some of the weeding myself, despite my back and the cane I need. And while I was at it, I took my camera out. I think I did more photography than weeding. There is some done and more to be done. My motto is: A little at a time. So here are my pictures of the flowers that are blooming on this sunny, warm Sunday on the Lake.

Cheers and beauty all the way 😀
Some of the most beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them.
oh Jueseppi, thank you for saying that. I was hot and tired and the only think I could think of was the fruits of my labor. It keeps raining and I can’t get ahead of the weeds. Everything just keeps growing!LOL
Thats what gardens do, give you a reason to get outside and labor in the belly of sweet solitude while weeding.
😈
LOL. I like the red demon one! I just have to be careful not to fall.
Yes, you don’t really need another tumble.
You are right. I can’t. And I am not losing balance as much so that is good. Thanks for letting me us your pictures. They are on my sidebar. Hugs and hugs

Thank you for sharing such wonders of Nature – wonderful photos ❤
What beautiful pictures of a lovely garden! I know from experience that watching the weeds take over when one is ill is hard punishment to a gardener. Glad you were able to manage.
It is sometimes difficult but the reward for my eyes and the fragrance are worth. My sister helped me and she can do what I can not. Thanks for your comment. Hugs, Barbara

Beautiful garden. I’ve always been partial to irises. Yours are gorgeous. Love the black petunias, too. 🙂
Yes, they make me fill with joy. Hugs, Barbara
Love the container garden! Lovely. I am so glad you are feeling well enough to get out and do a bit in your garden. Despite the weather.
Winter is the weather that does me in. It is supposed to be a bad one. Hugs, Barbara
Lots of pretty flowers!
{hugs}
Lovely flowers! I live in the desert and have little in the way of flowers in my yard. They all take too much water.
oh yes that would be true. I glad you enjoyed the photos. I like to share beauty. Hugs, Barbara
What a beautiful garden you must have! I love the photos, the pure colour and close composition. I adore spending time just gazing at plants, their intricate and unique designs never cease to amaze me.I hope you’ve solved your weeding problem, even with a fully functioning back, arms and legs I had a job keeping up with my allotment through August.
It has been rough. Determination and unfortunately not a lot of heat has made it easier. Things aren’t growing as they usually do. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind comment. Hugs, Barbara
