All Mother’s on this Planet Have a Day Even if They Aren’t Aware of it.

One Woman, One World, One Family, unending love.

One Woman, One World, One Family, unending love.

Mother’s Day is huge here in America .This is nice. Flowers, candy, going out to dinner, a new plant for the garden. These make up an American Mother’s Day. I would like to remind you that Mothers are in every country and being  a Mother is quite different than it is here.

Mothers in other countries don’t have a day or even an hour where they feel especially loved and appreciated. Mother’s in other countries face tragedies we never even can imagine. Many mothers continue to die in childbirth, many mothers don’t have milk to feed their babies. Many mothers can’t dress their babies up really cute because there are only rags to dress them in. I guarantee you that some mothers, on the American holiday, will be watching their babies die of starvation and diseases such as Malaria.

Most of the mothers around the world will be required to leave a girl baby by the side of the road because of misogyny and some are trying to heal the faces of daughters whose boyfriend threw acid in their face because they turned down a marriage proposal. The boy throws acid in her face so no one else will want her. This is classic power and control. Some mothers will be assisting a medicine woman to hold down her daughter so genital mutilation can occur just like what was done to her. In some countries, if a girl has not had this done, no one will marry her.

Why is all of this happening?  It is because women and girls are second class citizens and have no rights and no power to protect them legally in the systemThey are owned, used, punished, tormented and often killed.
My request is that from now through Sunday you would all pray for the mothers around the world. Pray for them to be protected, pray for healing and food, pray for an end to human traffakking. Please pray that some day millions of women around the world will understand that mother is a term of  love, support and pride. Pray that a year will come when all women will be able to hold their heads up and walk with pride and dignity.

Mother’s Day Proclamation of 1870

My subject will be the many aspects of the Hallmark holiday which sells so many cards in America. It is a big job in a woman’s life and one she is least prepared for. Congratulations to all the mothers out there. You have served above and beyond. My heart goes out to the women who desperately want children and are unable to have them. I respect the women who have known they didn’t want to have children and did not. This can be a awkward day for them. I respect the women who knew they never wanted to marry for whatever reason and honor their decision.

There is the pain of the mothers who have lost children. Your hearts have sustained the worst of the pain a human being can suffer. To lose a child or a grandchild is an event that should earn every mother a medal of honor; a recognition of what she has lost. I dedicate this upcoming holiday to the mothers who are no longer with us on this plane, but have left us to be welcomed home by the Divine Universe.

I am going to include the Mother’s Day Proclamation every year until we as women have been given our legal equality. Every man enters this plane via our bodies and yet we aren’t equal? I believe not. We are and we will work to that end  until we accomplish equality.

Mother’s Day Proclamation of 1870 – Julia Ward Howe

“Arise, the women of this day!
Arise all women who have hearts,
Whether your baptism be that of water or of tears!
Say firmly
“We will not have questions decided by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands shall not come to us, reeking of carnage,
for caresses and applause.
Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.
We women of one country
will be too tender of those of another country
to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.”
From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes with
our own, it says ‘disarm! disarm!’
The sword of murder is not the balance of justice.
Blood does not wipe out dishonor
Nor violence indicate possession.
As men have often forsaken the plow and the anvil at the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home
For a great and earnest day of counsel.
Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them then solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
whereby the great human family can live in peace,
each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Ceasar,
But of God.
In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask
that a general congress of women without limit of nationality,
be appointed and held at some place deemed most convenient
and at the earliest period consistent with its objects,
to promote the alliance of the different nationalities,
the amicable settlement of international questions,
the great and general interests of peace.”

WordPress Family award

Thank you, so much, to Tersia Burger for nominating me for this award.  It is a privilege to consider this wonderful, caring woman a part of my WordPress Family.

Now for a description of the award in the words of the Creator Of The Award:
This is an award for everyone who is part of the “WordPress Family” I started this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in, and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can show. The way people take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards, but I wanted to leave my own legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents “Family” we never meet, but are there for us as family. It is my honor to start this award.” from Shaun @ http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com/
The Rules:
1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. Nominate 10 others you see as having an impact on your WordPress experience and family.
4. Let your 10 Family members know you have awarded them. There is a real problem here since this award spread like wildfire but I think I can find ten who should be recognized
5. That is it. Just please pick 10 people who have taken you as a friend, and spread the love.

To these young women, I say welcome home and their ability to hope and help each other during the ten years of captivitity show the best in their hearts and souls. I commend them for surviving and may they all be blessed now with all that is good and sweet and joyful.

If The Divine Walked

I have been thinking a lot actually I am in the process of having some tests done and it has given me blank blocks of time which I can mentally write on and sing on and dance on.  I was thinking that so many of my age respond to music unlike other ages. My heart and soul respond and have done since I was thirteen.  I remember all of those early songs. Listening to a white plastic radio in my room–just me and my celestial friends the stars. Listening to” Puff the Magic Dragon”, and” I’ts My Party ” in the same way teens listen to music now. I have a grandson who is a teen and a musician to boot. Music , in my thinking has been a cord that binds. I was the notes and the spaces between the notes that made the music. It was the early 60″s  and I didn’t care about anyone’s color or where they lived. I cared about the music. It would slip into my soul and has remained for fifty some years.

We can teach our children a lot more by what we do than what we say.  Saying is a clue that hypocrisy is coming next. The parents who live what they believe, who go slow and steady through this life and teach children how to manage their emotions, answer questions about other people, teach acceptance and not hatred, and to love “all the others.” are the ones who succeed in this thing called “Parenting”. Whether it is the Mother’s Day coming quickly or whether it is June and Father’s day, it needs to be real.

As the beautiful Sunday afternoon shines and spreads its fragrance on the gentle breezes; we have time to stop the idea of  hatred. Our actions have taught others, teach them to love “others” and not just those who look like us, or think like us. There is time to try to bring an end to violence and inequality, it is your chance to put on the old music, like “House at Pooh Corner.” and sing along and get them moving. Parent or grandparent we need to try to shake off the mantle of oppression and injustice. Spit hypocrisy out of your mouths, never to allow its entrance again. Teach your children well. No bullying, no laughing at those who are unfortunate, teach them to listen to what you do and make sure you say  what Divinity would do if he/she/it were to walk our highways and byways today. Would you notice this Divine presence? What would you do or say? What would the little ones do or say?

But Earth Weather Is Comparatively Lame!

We are having spring and other planets are having severe storms.

IzaakMak's avatarI Want Ice Water!

As terrifying and damaging as the weather here on Earth can be, it doesn’t even begin to compare with some of the weather extremes that exist on other worlds. And while weather systems on Earth are driven primarily by atmospheric heating from its relative closeness to the sun, there are mechanisms at work on the faraway gas giant planets that produce storm systems far more extreme that what we experience here on our home planet.

For example, estimated wind speeds on the gas giants appear to actually get stronger the farther out from the sun the giant planet is – approaching 400 mph on Jupiter, 1100 mph on Saturn, and 1300 mph on Neptune. And, as for the storms that occur out in the solar system’s cold, dark regions, nothing on Earth can even begin to compare with what’s been observed on Jupiter and Saturn!

Now everyone knows about Jupiter’s…
