I had to share this with all of you. There has been a school shooting north of Seattle. I hope the NRA and the GOP are happy. More of our precious children suffering and being frightened by violence. If you want a gun, leave America. Your happiness is not as important as the lives of innocent American adults and children. An active shooter made it inside and began shooting. They know two students have been shot. They are being airlifted to a hospital in Seattle. The shooting took place in the cafeteria. They feel the shooter is at large. It just happened and the police are there and parents are being notified. I will follow up as they announce more information.

We just had a shooting in my home city of Ottawa, on Wednesday. I’m saddened to hear about this. It’s even harder to absorb when children are involved.
It is hard when shootings involve children. It is terrible what happened on Parliament Hill. It was horrible for Canada. We must change the world before we destroy each other. Hugs, Barbara

They don’t care!
Times are crazy. Remember the day to see a shooting in the news was a shock? People see it so much now it desensitizes us. Very sad indeed our teens think this is a good idea.
We need to first get rid of guns. Second, we need to teach children how to cope with the stresses, hurts, disappointments of life. They need to know how to respond to what is thrown into their lives. Hormones rage louder than the brain can think. I think all of the violence teaches children that violence is the way to deal with life’s problems. We need to teach them what they really need to know. We also need to teach them love, forgiveness, compassion and peace. Hugs, Barbara
